In her distress, Lisette is transformed via a mysterious crystal into the Water Witch. However, one day, the Witch of Destruction, Hilda interupts their daily lives by using the Song of Ruin to transform almost everyone into crystal. Alto and Lisette are spared, however are soon confronted by Hilda and one of her followers. Alto has been living in Mithra Village along with his childhood friend Lisette.
The game follows with the player assuming the role of Alto, a boy who has amnesia.
